Milena showed love for playing football early on. She didn’t have the opportunity to play for a woman’s club so she started her career in a men’s club. She joined FC Magnohrom when she was eight years old; contesting with boys and participated in all sporting camps until she was twelve years old. She joined ZFK Sloga Kraljevo in 1996 and despite being the youngest player, she appeared in games for the first team.
Realization of her football dreams came true in the beginning of 1999 when she became a member of ZFK Masinac. The most decorated women’s football club in Serbia. She started playing for the second team ZFK Bubamara and later made more than 100 caps in the first division. She has been a member of first team since 2002 and she has now played more 150 games. She was a constant participant in all the national football camps organized by the football federation and played 21 games for Serbian Women’s National U-19 Team scoring 3 goals . Her first cap for the Senior National Team was a match with France, in 2007.
She is exceptionally strong technically, with great skills in trapping, passing and great skills in the air. She distinguishes herself scoring goals with her head in the air, scoring from distance and scoring with powerful free kicks. Her most comfortable position is center midfielder, yet possesses good aptitude for finishing and also plays defence when needed. She is also very astute when moving forward from the second line of attack. She’s right footed yet she is very comfortable using her left. In the first part of the 2007/2008 season, she scored a crucial header goal in the biggest derby of the season in the match with Napredak; giving Masinac a very big away win .
